CNRS@CREATE was honored to welcome Professor Tan Chorh Chuan – Permanent Secretary (National Research and Development) and A*STAR – Agency for Science, Technology and Research Chairman – to the CNRS headquarters in Paris on Monday 22 April 2024. This visit illustrates the continued commitment of CNRS to scientific and technological collaboration between Singapore and France.

Professor Tan took advantage of his visit to CNRS to learn more from Professor Antoine Petit, Chairman and CEO of CNRS and Professor Alain Schuhl, Deputy CEO for Science of CNRS, about the work being carried out in France on artificial intelligence, a priority area for both Singapore and France. Singapore’s recently updated national strategy for AI, and the upcoming launch of a call for projects on AI for Science by National Research Foundation Singapore CREATE, were key topics for discussion.

As a critical asset of CNRS in Singapore, CNRS@CREATE looks forward to strengthening this partnership and contributing with its partners to the advancement of research and innovation.
