On 23 October, CNRS@CREATE had the great pleasure of hosting Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Heng Swee Keat ; Prof Sylvie Retailleau, Minister for Higher Education and Research, France and her Delegation ; Mrs Minh Di Tang, Ambassador of France to Singapore ; Prof Antoine Petit, CEO of CNRS ; Mr Kian Teik Beh, CEO of National Research Foundation Singapore (NRF), and Prof Subodh Mhaisalkar, Executive Director of CREATE. It was an honor to receive DPM Mr Heng Swee Keat again, after his last visit during the CREATE Symposium in July this year.

The day started with fruitful discussions at the France-Singapore Joint Committee on Science and Innovation (JCSI). Highlights included the signing of 8 agreements, updates on the DesCartes program research advancements, current and prospective partnerships – among them some promising ones with Singapore’s Port Authorities, as well as the signing of NGAP (Nanophotonic Gates with exciton-Polaritons), a new project hosted by CNRS@CREATE on quantum physics, involving Nanyang Technological University Singapore, A*STAR – Agency for Science, Technology and Research, National University of Singapore, and CNRS, Sorbonne Université, École normale supérieure and Université PSL.
