CNRS@CREATE Showcase in Paris

CNRS@CREATE was at CNRS HQ in Paris, France, in March 2024, for two excellent events:

On the 12 March, the second DesCartes Scientific Advisory Board, chaired by Cedric Villani, demonstrated the tremendous progress of the DesCartes program, with inspiring insights from the SAB.

On the 13 March, its “Unveiling Success of CNRS@CREATE: Achievements and Opportunities between France and Singapore“ event.

This day showcased the accomplishments of CNRS@CREATE after 5 years of operations in Singapore, and highlighted the current collaborations and outcomes of the ongoing research initiatives in Singapore.

The 5 intra-CREATE projects (N-GAP ; CALIPSO ; EcoCTs ; SPACE ; ScaNCellS) presented their brilliant research outcomes during the morning.

In the afternoon, the DesCartes program organized a vibrant roundtable discussion with some of DesCartes industrial members (Aria Technologies, CETIM-Matcor, Expleo, Naval Group, SKF, Thales).

Followed by a fascinating presentation of DesCartes Use-Cases.

As a conclusion of this eventful day, a thrilling presentation of the DesCartes Augmented Digital Twin, with applications both in Singapore (Marina Bay area) and France (La Défense area), visible on the augmented table, as well as through augmented and mixed reality devices, was displayed in the CNRS HQ reception area.

We were honoured to host Mrs Teow Lee Foo, Singapore Ambassador to France ; Prof. Antoine Petit, CEO of CNRS ; Prof. Alain Schul, CNRS Deputy CEO for Science ; Prof. Charbel Farhat, Visiting Professor from Stanford University, as well as our Singaporean and French PIs during this event.
